February 2025 Newsletter: Stay Connected with ES!
Our February newsletter is here! We’re kicking off the year with some exciting developments! Our team is currently working on a stunning new construction project in Coral Gables, Florida— the Malaga Townhomes. This 3-story, 12,500 ft² residential property features innovative post-tensioned concrete slabs to bring the architect’s vision to life while ensuring long-term durability. We’re proud to be part of a project that blends cutting-edge design with structural integrity, and we’re involved every step of the way, from design to final construction.
In addition to the Malaga Townhomes, our portfolio continues to grow with a range of diverse projects. These include commercial building recertifications in Boca Raton, structural assessments in Jupiter and Fort Lauderdale, and several residential developments across South Florida. Whether it’s restoring concrete or designing new communities, our team is committed to ensuring safety, stability, and top-notch engineering solutions for every client.
In the world of condo safety, there’s been a lot of attention on Florida’s new milestone inspection requirements. After the Surfside tragedy, all buildings 30 years or older must undergo these crucial inspections— but a significant number of condos have missed the recent deadline, leaving their structural integrity unknown. With potential fines looming for non-compliance, there’s growing concern for the safety of residents. At the same time, lawmakers are exploring reforms to condo laws to address challenges like underfunded maintenance reserves and transparency issues in reserve studies. These discussions are shaping the future of condo safety, and the engineering community is pushing for action.
