Project Overview
Engineering Solutions is providing structural engineering services for a new construction luxury residential property in Coral Gables, FL. The 3-story building comprises approximately 12,500 FT² of conditioned space and uses post-tensioned concrete slabs to achieve the long, clear spans and slender floor profiles required by the architect's vision. Engineering Solutions is engaged from design development through final construction documents, coordinating closely with the architect and project team so every structural detail supports the design intent while satisfying Florida's stringent building code requirements for wind resistance and durability.
The Challenge
Delivering the architect's open, column-light floor plan across three stories and roughly 12,500 FT² of conditioned space on a tight Coral Gables infill lot, while meeting Florida's high-velocity wind and durability requirements.
Our Solution
Post-tensioned concrete slabs engineered for long clear spans and shallow floor depths, developed from design development through sealed construction documents in continuous coordination with the architect and fully compliant with the Florida Building Code.
