Project Overview
Engineering Solutions provided structural engineering services for the site wall replacement at Spring Lake Villas in Tamarac, Florida. Our team designed an 8-inch CMU wall with shallow concrete footings, reinforced concrete columns, and detailed construction documentation to ensure durability and compliance with the Florida Building Code, 8th Edition (2023). From site plans and wall sections to masonry and connection details, every deliverable was carefully developed and signed and sealed by a Florida-licensed engineer. The project also incorporated a revised site plan and trench drainage system, bringing both structural resilience and improved functionality to the community.
The Challenge
Replacing a perimeter site wall in an occupied community with a structure that meets current Florida Building Code wind and foundation requirements while integrating new site drainage.
Our Solution
A complete permit set for an 8-inch CMU wall on shallow concrete footings with reinforced concrete columns, including wall sections, masonry and connection details, a revised site plan, and a trench drainage system, all signed and sealed by a Florida-licensed engineer.
